Die SKO Dienstleistungs GmbH vertraut beim Thema „modernes Bargeldmanagement“ auf ALVARA

SKO Dienstleistungs GmbH was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of a savings bank. Initially, it acted solely as a transport company for the savings bank, handling all cash management processes on its behalf. However, it did not stop at providing services for its own savings bank. SKO also offered these services to other financial institutions in the Osnabrück region. Its good reputation for high-quality service quickly spread beyond the region. In order to meet the increased demand, a new cash center was opened in Rastede in 2023.
As in the cash center in Osnabrück, SKO relies on the Pecunia ERP suite at the new location. The solution connects employees, machines, and applications in the cash cycle and acts as a central control unit for the cash center. Container logistics, route planning, order management, and invoicing are just four areas that gain in efficiency and traceability as a result.
“Pecunia has proven itself as cash center software for banks and cash service providers for almost three decades. We, too, are fully convinced of the advantages of this modular solution. Because it takes all processes into account,” says Frank Claußen, authorized signatory and cash center manager at SKO.
In addition, SKO has opted for another solution from ALVARA: the connection to Interactive Cash Control (ICC). This decision will primarily bring added value for customers. Using the platform and the app, business customers can digitally record cash orders and returns, track the status of orders in real time, and communicate directly with the responsible cash-in-transit company. “For us and our customers, the entire process becomes simpler, more transparent, and more secure. Traditional cash branch processes are digitally and automatically mapped, and cooperation with cash centers is made much easier. For us as a service provider, this significantly increases efficiency,” says Frank Claußen. Within a year, the ICC platform was introduced at seven SKO customers (savings banks and cooperative banks).
In addition to efficiency, security has also been taken into account. “With ALVARA as the platform provider, the requirements of the European DORA regulation are met, for example with regard to digital resilience, process reliability, and real-time transparency—an issue that cash-in-transit companies do not have to worry about as a result,” explains Robert Wolf, Managing Director of ALVARA.
“With the ICC connection and Pecunia, we are sending a clear signal for modern, efficient customer processes and strengthening our position as a future-oriented partner in the region – today and tomorrow,” summarizes Frank Claußen.
