Leipzig, 29.06.2020 – ALVARA | Digital Solutions (a brand of ALVARA Holding GmbH, formerly CMH GmbH), specializing in Track & Trace software solutions for the cash cycle and logistics, is continuously growing. Added to the group, retrospectively effective January 1, 2020, is IT Kompetenz GmbH. By doing so, ALVARA | Digital Solutions incorporates a Hamburg software company that has stood for successful development of innovative, field-proven, and secure software systems in the area of value logistics and distribution for 25 years. Applications for managing, monitoring, and optimizing cash logistics processes ensure seamless communication between security service providers, financial institutions, and retailers. This includes intranet-based management systems and the CashEDI connection to the Deutsche Bundesbank.
"With the integration of IT Kompetenz GmbH into our corporate group, we are creating valuable synergies for our product portfolio, for example, in the area of Cash Center Software, Track & Trace solutions, or main cash register software," says Bernd Hohlfeld, Managing Director of ALVARA Holding GmbH. The advantages for existing customers are obvious: they appreciate both the enhanced digitization and automation of their processes and the expansion of the portfolio with new services, such as the monitoring of smart safes, digital driver receipts, ticketing, or the centralization of master data.
The acquisition of IT Kompetenz GmbH is also focused on maintaining and expanding ALVARA | Digital Solutions' European market leadership in cash handling and the digitization of cash processes as well as the networking of all parties involved.

IT Kompetenz GmbH will continue to operate under its own company name and familiar appearance. The existing contracts between the company and its customers will continue seamlessly. The contacts (including function + contact details) remain the same. "All services and offerings will be provided as usual," assures Matthias Schick, Managing Director of IT Kompetenz GmbH. Thomas Vietze will also be appointed forthwith as the second board member of ALVARA Cash Management Group AG and Co-Managing Director of ALVARA Holding GmbH.
ALVARA | Digital Solutions is now incorporating the IT Kompetenz solutions into its product portfolio. This will be followed by joint appearances at relevant industry events, such as CashCon or Security in Essen.
Aside from the acquisition of IT Kompetenz GmbH, there is also news regarding the name change of CMH GmbH. The company will now be renamed ALVARA Holding GmbH and will continue to be present in the market with the brand ALVARA | Digital Solutions.
