ALVARA | Digital Solutions provides paperless cash processes: ICC App now also for cash-in-transit companies

Leipzig, 23.02.2022. ALVARA | Digital Solutions continues to pave the way for a paperless and PC-free back office around all cash processes in retail: In the future, the proven solution ALVARA ICC (ALVARA Interactive Cash Control) will also be available to cash-in-transit companies (CIT) as an app.

CIT companies thus have the opportunity to make collaboration with their own customers even more efficient. "For cash-in-transit companies and their customers, the integration of the app brings even more security, efficiency, and transparency," explains ALVARA | Digital Solutions Managing Director Steven Schwarznau. "For example, change money can be quickly and easily ordered via the app. In addition, cash disposal can be commissioned, safe bags including default values can be announced, the digital driver authentication can be carried out, and digital receipts can be made available—all via smartphone."

For example, cash ordering via the app allows the required banknotes and coins to be entered in a few steps and the appropriate delivery day to be selected. The CIT company receives the order electronically and delivers the money on the desired date. The process for cash deposit is equally simple. "With accelerated processes, we can continue to support retail in making cash processes and cash management even more efficient and secure—and all without a PC, just with the help of the app," explains Steven Schwarznau. For this purpose, the CIT driver legitimizes themselves using a QR code on their handheld before scanning the container numbers, which is scanned and verified via the ICC App. Both the driver and the retailer then confirm the container handover with their signature on the CIT scanner and both receive the digital receipt simultaneously.

"For cash-in-transit companies, this means a significant increase in efficiency. The entire business process from receiving the order to taking over the containers is fully digitally mapped and is transparently documented for both the CIT company and its customers," explains Steven Schwarznau the specific benefit of the innovation. With the use of the ICC App, the daily interaction with their own customers can be handled in a standardized and highly automated manner.
