Leipzig, 01.09.2021 ALVARA | Digital Solutions participates in this year's ESTA conference. The event is themed "Cash is cool" and takes place from October 24 to 26 in Seville, Spain. Important cash actors from all over Europe come together to exchange views on the latest industry developments. ALVARA | Digital Solutions presents its cash management solutions at ESTA, especially for the cash services industry.
“We are pleased with this opportunity to showcase ourselves again to an international audience and finally meet customers and business partners in person on site,” says ALVARA | Digital Solutions CCO Emmanuel Gaucher.
At the ESTA, high-ranking representatives from the cash industry, EU decision-makers, central bank employees, and other important stakeholders discuss challenges and trends around cash. The focus is on the following topics, among others:
- – The effects of a possible decline in cash usage on privacy, (individual) freedoms, and the consequences of a cashless society (including for consumers) in general.
- – The use of loyalty programs, e-shopping, and the web for creating consumer profiles: Individualized pricing based on personal data profiles.
- – Legislation and obstacles regarding access to cash in Sweden and the United Kingdom.
ESTA is strongly committed to cash. It submitted its own report to the European Retail Payment Board (ERPB) working group on "Access to and Acceptance of Cash," addressing a number of critical issues related to access to and acceptance of cash. This includes concerns raised by banks and payment service providers about the transmission of COVID through cash. Another aspect is the significant reduction of cash services in bank branches, making it difficult for retailers to accept cash.
In the ESTA exhibition area, ALVARA | Digital Solutions presents its automated solutions for the highest level of security during the cash handling process and the handover of money to the expert audience. Thanks to real-time cash management, new track & trace technologies, and digital process logging, cash handling is optimized. The result: more cost efficiency and seamless traceability. “The automation of cash logistics processes and the optimized management of vaults and ATMs provide our customers with maximum efficiency in the cash transport business,” says Emmanuel Gaucher.
