The topic of banknote processing, the corresponding workload, and the costs have long been on the agenda of many banks. Volksbank Lübbecker Land has taken on this challenge and optimized the main cash office's work processes – with the help of a new software solution.
The process of banknote processing is divided into many different subprocesses that require intensive engagement of trained personnel. Starting from counting deposited amounts at various workstations to the currency-appropriate booking of counted funds and up to banknote recycling. Therefore, it is understandable that banks are looking for efficient software solutions to automate such work processes on the one hand and simplify communication with the data center on the other. The focus of the analysis is repeatedly on merging counting processes to use personnel capacities more efficiently.
