Fakturio: ALVARA | Digital Solutions enables the standard e-invoice format XRechnung

Leipzig, 06/03/2023. ALVARA | Digital Solutions has long provided a solution with Fakturio that facilitates automatic invoicing for retailers, financial institutions, and cash-in-transit companies. The added value of the software: managers keep an overview of all services provided. To ensure its customers remain operable in the future, the software provider has also addressed the topic of e-invoices. The result: Fakturio users can easily and securely create and send e-invoices in the standard XRechnung format with the new module.

Since November 2020, federal authorities, in their function as public clients, only accept e-invoices. However, contractors must comply with several specifications from the e-invoicing directive for transmission. Thus, a PDF file that effectively transfers the analog document one-to-one into the digital world is not considered an electronic invoice. The crucial aspect: the chosen format must allow automatic processing. This requirement and the formal requirements for a paper invoice are met by the XRechnung standard format.

“To qualify as a contractor for federal as well as many state authorities, today, it is crucial to be able to send e-invoices in structured formats such as XRechnung,” says Robert Wolf, Managing Director of ALVARA | Digital Solutions. The solution in detail: Fakturio collects all invoicing-related items and individual conditions for the customers in the software and supports the billing of all services rendered. Combined with the Pecunia Cash Center solution from ALVARA | Digital Solutions, companies gain maximum added value. Because stored master data and services provided in Pecunia are transferred to Fakturio – excluding data losses or inconsistencies. With the modular addition of e-invoices to Fakturio, the entire process is digitally and continuously automated.

Looking ahead, such software solutions might no longer be just an option but an irrevocable requirement. The federal government is already discussing with the European Union whether to expand the e-invoicing obligation. It is conceivable that paper invoices will have to give way entirely to the electronic format shortly and that e-invoices will also become established in the B2B sector for more efficient processes.
