Turning old into new: It all began with the generation change from Pecunia 6 to Pecunia 7 – our cloud-based cash center software solution. The idea was quickly followed by the next steps, including the design of the user interface (UI) for our users, with a mix of the familiar and the new.
Our goal: Your optimal user experience
The cloud-first approach drove us to further develop Pecunia. At the same time, it was an opportunity to set another focus: improving the user experience. For our Pecunia users, this does not involve any major transition. We have retained proven structures such as the setup of tables and masks. Thus, familiar processes are maintained. In the future, however, users will noticeably benefit from an improved and modernized design. In Pecunia 7, we have removed everything unnecessary – here two fields, there a tab, and so on. The result is a much clearer and more streamlined interface.
To make our software solution as user-friendly and intuitive as possible, we used a Vuetify template for the implementation. We paid special attention to the user interface and its elements. This ensures consistent usability and a uniform appearance in all areas.
Design system as a technical basis
A detailed look: Technically, we have relied on a design system. This is understood as a collection of recurring rules, components, styles, or principles, which in turn bring advantages for developers and users. Thus, with the design system, we were able to unify the look and feel of Pecunia 7 and create consistency. A consistently high quality can be achieved through a stable and tested foundation for each new function. Scalability is another advantage of design systems.
Ultimately, our users also benefit from these seemingly pure development benefits. Because, in the end, we can implement updates more quickly through aspects like "uniformity" and ensure reliable operation.
User benefits – with modern UI
In further developments and optimizations, our customers are always the focus. Every improvement should not only be a step forward for us but also make work easier for our users. Therefore, in the development of Pecunia 7, we ensured to keep proven features from Pecunia 6 and combine existing processes and structures into a modern design with better user experience.
