Figures, Data, Facts: ALVARA | Digital Solutions Celebrates Success

Leipzig, 07.08.2023. For over 30 years, ALVARA | Digital Solutions, as a leading European provider of track-&-trace and POS software solutions, has been offering products to make cash management, logistics, and cash register systems more efficient, transparent, and secure. This extensive experience has now prompted the company, with locations in Leipzig, Hamburg, and Marseille, to take a look at its success story so far. A strong customer base in retail, security service providers, and financial institutions was just the first positive conclusion.

"A true bestseller - in the truest sense of the word - is our ITR cash register. In retail, the proven software solution is currently installed in over 5,000 registers. The widely used application at the point of sale convinces with optimized checkout processes. The added value for retailers, bakeries, farm shops, trade fairs, and gastronomy is quickly and impressively described with central data maintenance, regular cash register synchronization, the eBon for more sustainable actions, maximum customizability by our customers, and the integration of numerous payment systems as a benefit for the users," says Steven Schwarznau, Managing Director at ALVARA | Digital Solutions. "Additionally, our ICC platform and app allow, among other things, increased efficiency of various processes in retail. The result: between 50 and 70 percent time savings in cash processing with consistently digitized processes such as driver authentication, receipt acknowledgment, change order, or tracking containers with preset values and vault management for branch employees."

Besides retail, banks and savings banks also benefit from simplifications through various digital solutions. The additional effort for cash handling, storage, and transportation often brings cash handlers to their limits - both financially and personally. With the company's optimized safebag procedure, for example, which eliminates error-prone media breaks through consistently digital processes and relies on the machine counting of safebags in the cash center or main cash register, relief returns to the workflow of branches. "Over 15 million safebags are recorded annually via ALVARA ICC. With the proven procedure, we increase security, simplify processes, and ensure cost savings in financial institutions," says Robert Wolf, also Managing Director at ALVARA | Digital Solutions.

To reduce cost pressure, optimize internal processes, and efficiently ensure cash supply, the software provider also offers numerous applications for cash processing and cash logistics for value transport companies (WTU). In addition to the proven Pecunia software in the cash center, the ICC app opens doors for digitized, efficient, and user-friendly interaction with customers. At the same time, digital driver authentication saves time and ensures secure, consistently documented liability transitions. Equally essential is the central monitoring for front and back-office machines, which enables WTUs to manage various smart safe manufacturers and thereby create smart services for customer care. Advantages that benefit well over 50 connected WTUs daily.

By combining all three areas from retail through WTUs and financial institutions, ALVARA | Digital Solutions has over 120 integrated cash and POS systems as well as additional applications, such as route optimization or SmartLock systems with dynamic single-use codes. This results in collaboration from connecting ERP systems for direct producers to self-checkouts in retail up to high-security solutions for digital lock management. All users benefit from ALVARA's hardware and manufacturer independence: They are and remain free to choose their hardware partners. "However, the success rests not only on our in-house developed solutions. Our support, available 24/7 and 365 days a year, our Bundesbank certification, and server hosting in Germany also complement our performance. Thus, we are well positioned for the next milestones," summarizes Steven Schwarznau.
