Pecunia App: WTU Helper for Container Transfers

Our solutions around Pecunia are growing. A few weeks ago, we were able to report on the new . Today, we introduce another facilitation for cash transport companies: the Pecunia App.

App Support for the Vault Area

Cash and value handling hold a lot of potential for the digitization and automation of traditional, manual processes. The first major breakthrough for value service providers and banks was achieved over 30 years ago with the Cash Center Software Pecunia. But the working world is changing. Solutions that support actors in various areas must keep pace with it. Our development is increasingly considering "mobile applications" for this purpose.

This time, the focus was on the vault area. The current situation has been that at least one PC must be available here. However, an app solution promises more flexibility. This has resulted in an optional extension for Pecunia 7, which covers specific processes in the vault area – in particular, the handover of containers – and can be used on Android-based devices with a scan engine.

The core of the Pecunia App is enabling vault employees to retrieve containers packed in Pecunia 7 and hand them over during a tour. Upon the return of a tour, the containers brought back can also be accepted via the app. These data become immediately visible in Pecunia 7 as soon as the transfer of liability for a container is confirmed.

Pecunia App: Added Value for Vault Employees

An approach that brings many advantages. The primary one is the low hardware requirement. A PC and the configuration of a keyboard scanner are no longer necessary. Vault employees can even use the same device as the drivers did before to start the Pecunia App on it.

At the same time, using the same device avoids barcode misinterpretations. The actual facilitation is achieved through direct access and easy handling. The app only displays the relevant interfaces for container handover, thereby making the work easier.

The intuitive operability and user guidance are modeled after the already known and MobiTick. These logistics apps can also be used in connection with Pecunia and offer their benefits around transparency, efficiency, and security outside the location.

Thinking into the Future!

More features promising efficiency in everyday work are already planned. Much of it is related to barcode scanning. For example, the Pecunia App will allow for a quick retrieval of packing processes and delivery notes, an overview of all container information by scanning the label, or making changes in the daily schedule. For maximum oversight, we are also working on a dashboard in the app that displays open as well as completed tasks or BBK orders.

Ultimately, the Pecunia App aims to optimally map and simplify internal processes to efficiently relieve the vault employees. It already succeeds today in the container handover and will become even more effective with its further development.
