Leipzig, 26.05.2021. ALVARA | Digital Solutions has decided to gradually move its successful solutions for cash logistics companies to the cloud.
“The pressure on all players in the cash environment has rarely been as high as it is now,” explains ALVARA | Digital Solutions Managing Director Thomas Vietze. “Many framework parameters, such as increasing competitive pressure, the ongoing corona crisis, and technological change, require further development of our solutions. This also includes cloud transformation.”
Many processes in the cash industry are already digitized and automated through software solutions. “Digitization is not the same as digitization,” says Steven Schwarznau, Managing Director at ALVARA | Digital Solutions. “While many services are already represented as cloud solutions and have proven themselves as such, numerous systems or solutions are still installed locally on workstations. Here there are potential improvements that we want to lift together with the users.”
The advantages of cloud solutions convince cash logistics companies and other cash players on all levels. Thus, there is no longer a need for on-site appointments for installations, maintenance, and service. Furthermore, there is the possibility to reduce local IT costs (also for server/desktop licenses) by accessing functions and data via online platforms or apps, while at the same time creating maximum transparency for all involved – as the following examples illustrate:
- – One-time code generation at the POI: Digitization of physical keys for flexible and demand-driven opening of smart safes, cash recyclers, or ATMs
- – Digital driver authentication: The driver ID and pickup authorization of the WDL employee no longer need to be manually checked using paper lists. Authorization is done via app and cloud and is fully digitally recorded.
- – Digital receipts: They enable WDL drivers to work paperless on tour.
If, for example, individual service providers (e.g., a WDL) or locations are temporarily unavailable in times of crisis, the necessary (location/master/contract) data can simply be made available to a replacement WDL or location for the duration of the disruption via the ICC Online Platform. This means: Orders can be easily and flexibly switched to other locations or service providers. Furthermore, mobile devices also support data exchange with the cash center while on the go. “This makes order processing even more efficient,” explains Thomas Vietze. “Orders can be managed individually at any time thanks to the logistics app solutions and loaded and processed ad hoc even during the tour. The number of special trips can thus be significantly reduced.
ALVARA | Digital Solutions is also driving the automation of cash processes forward with its portfolio. In addition to its existing cloud and app solutions, the corporate group has now also moved the (all-in-one) safe and logistics software “CIT 360” to the cloud. “With the help of such applications, our customers can fortunately say goodbye to manual processes and Excel spreadsheets,” says Thomas Vietze happily.
CIT 360 is an easy-to-use, reliable, and web-based software solution that manages all processes of cash logistics companies (order management, counting, packaging, warehouse management in multiple currencies, route planning and tracking) in one place and allows access to real-time data from any location.
With these features, CIT 360 creates real added value:
- – Cash handling
- – Route planning & container logistics
- – Central master data management
- – Mobile app for shipment tracking
- – Digital receipts
- – Data export & reporting.
The application convinces with a user-friendly and intuitive interface that enables seamless operation. The simplicity of the solution significantly reduces user errors and allows for quick training with very short familiarization cycles.
ALVARA | Digital Solutions will also make the proven application “Pecunia” available as a web application in the future.
